PYD: 15th August, 1984 awakened the Kurdish people from their hibernation

The statement continued: "This first bullet still resonates in all parts of Kurdistan, in its mountains, valleys and plains, to this day, in the form of mythical resistance in Northern, Southern and Western Kurdistan, protecting the Kurdish people, defending the coexistence between the components of Kurdistan and its neighbourhood, and defending human values, making this resistance a hope and an example for all the oppressed peoples to defend themselves.

The statement referred to the international conspiracy that affected the leader Abdullah Ocalan, "Since the first bullet was fired, all the forces of evil that see their continued existence and interests in enslaving peoples and depriving them of their most basic human rights have joined forces with Turkish fascism and accelerated to put the Kurdistan Liberation Movement on the list of terrorism, then the leader of the Kurdish people, Abdullah Ocalan, was captured in an international conspiracy to hand him over to Turkish fascism by international consensus and put him in solitary confinement, in which international laws, humanitarian principles, and even moral standards are ignored, then it targets the Kurdish people to split their ranks and sow discord in their political movements with machinations and presenting false temptations at times and with threats. and blackmail at other times.

The statement drew attention to the fact that the PDK is complicit in the Turkish occupation. "What we see today is the discord in the Kurdish row and that some Kurdish forces stand by the garrisons of the Kurdish people and direct their arms towards their brothers instead of pointing that weapon at the torturer, is the result of an enemy policy aimed at dispersing and creating discord among all peoples, especially the Kurdish people."

PYD General considered that "the first bullet that took place on 15^th August 1984 awakened the Kurdish people from their hibernation and made them an example and role model for the peoples of the entire region; to be raised by autocrats and fascists for centuries, to paint their future with their own hand and will, and to live a free and dignified life in the atmosphere of freedom and fraternity of peoples according to the philosophy of a democratic nation, rather than feuding and slipping into the intents of the enemies of peoples. "

The statement concluded by saying: "We pay tribute and gratitude to all the martyrs of freedom and to the memory of the martyred revolutionary fighter, Egîd Korkomaz, we pay tribute to the leader of the Kurdistan people, who started this march in his prison, Imrali Prison, and we pledge them to continue this march until the objectives for which they fought are achieved."
