Tabqa notables: we support democratic nation

Several hostile parties seek to strike at the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria by fomenting discord between components and creating rivalry between people and AANES, and inciting clans against AANES.

On this subject, ANHA has explored the views of a number of Sheikhs and Tabqa clan notables, including the notable of the Albu Khamis clan, Hussein Al Rashid, who said: "It is not surprising that attempts continue to strike at the north and east Syria, in order for people to adopt the ideology of a democratic nation, to embrace the thinking of the democratic nation by its peoples, thus becoming the target of all capitalist and authoritarian forces that seek to weaken this new project, which is based on the thought of leader Abdullah Ocalan, to liberate the nation in all its components and to stand up to the capitalist modernity of the region."

Al-Rashed stressed, "The position of the region's clans was a supportive one, to stand in the face of all threats facing the peoples of the region, in addition to their solidarity with the Syrian Democratic Forces to strengthen the home front against any external attempts to thwart the democratic nation's project."

For his part, Co-chair of the Legislative Council in Tabqa and sheikh of the al-Walda clan, Hamid al-Faraj, considered: "North and East Syria is one of the hot spots, and we see the continuation of attempts by the Turkish state and the Damascus Government and their agendas to tamper with the security of the region and destabilize it by creating strife among the population, which is not and will not be achieved. These forces are thanks to the cohesion and solidarity of all components of north and east Syria, and their awareness of the dangers of the plans being plotted against them.

Hamid Al-Faraj added: "We, as members of the tribes, will join hands together with the Syrian Democratic Forces against all attempts to create strife among members of society, and we will not allow the security and stability of our land to be tampered with, from any side, and we will serve the interests and all issues of our people."

On the other hand, notable of the Al-Wahb clan, Jamal al-Nahiter, said, "We, peoples and clans of north and east Syria, are united side by side, steadfast against any attempt to undermine the stability of the region, and are able to overcome any obstacles facing the democratic nation's project."
