Abducted PYD –AANES members remain unaccounted for

Authorities of the Kurdistan Democratic Party proceed to detain members and representative of both Democratic Union Party and Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria after being abducted at the Erbil International Airport 19 days ago.

On 10 June forces of the Kurdistan Democratic Party abducted Jihad Hisein representative of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria and Mustafa Khlaeel and Mustafa Aziz members of Relations Office of the Union Democratic Party as they were heading to the Erbil International Airport to receive guests. Since then nothing is known on their whereabouts as the reason behind their abduction remain obscure up to date in spite of calls made by both PYD and AANES that released a statement calling for their immediate release and verify their fate.

Yesterday, Democratic Union Party, the PYD, in a statement renewed call for the immediate release of the three diplomats dubbing their abduction a ''target against the party and materializing enemies policies that meet failure in their bids to liquidate Kurds''.

On 7 June authorities of Kurdistan Democratic Party arrested young man Joan Abdul Kareem Mohamed as he was on his way to Southern Kurdistan via the Semalka Border Crossing accompanying his mother to receive treatment, and his whereabouts is still unknown.
