The dirt on the crimes of the Turkish Occupying Sate in the areas it occupied, particularly in occupied Afrin, appears on a daily basis, and in a research report by the Rojava Center for Strategic Studies published on June 9th, it highlighted the process of settlement and settlement of mercenary families and Palestinians in Afrin, titled “Settlers. ...and settlements in Afrin.

Research by the Centre for Strategic Studies confirms that since the start of the Turkish occupation of Afrin in 2018, Turkey has continued in making demographics, after the forced displacement of more than 75% of the indigenous population, Turkey has begun to establish settlement projects to house Arabs and Turkmen from various Syrian regions with a view to eliminating Kurdish identity in the region and its existence, in agreement with its supporters, such as Kuwait and Qatar, which support of suspected settlement societies in the name of relief and humanity in Afrin to accomplish those occupation projects

Settlement rate was 65.20%

The search revealed the settlement of the families of the armed Free Army (FSA) and ISIS/Daesh extremists who fled to Afrin and whose presence in 2020 was about 65.20%, as confirmed by the Human Rights Organization in Afrin.

The search showed the creation of stability in the region and the imposition of the reality of the occupation, the Turkish State has begun to build numerous housing projects throughout the region. In Meremin, east of the city of Afrin, a village was constructed and named "village of Shamiyah" - and in Bavlon, with the majority of Yazidis, some 70 families from the Aleppo and Ghouta countryside were settled, with their material support.

Settlement of 7,500 Palestinians in occupied areas

The research confirmed that the Turkish State has set up several camps along the Turkish-Syrian border. - The village of Surka in Rajo - the village of Muhammadiyah and Deir Balut "where some 600 families were settled in southern Damascus, including 325 Palestinian families. Overall, according to the Civilian Documentation Centre for Palestinian Refugees, some 7,500 Palestinian settlers were brought from Daraa, Homs, Aleppo and the Yarmouk camp in Damascus.

Who's the White Hands Association?

The research highlighted the associations on which Turkey relies to build settlements in Afrin and indicated that one such association is the Ankara-based "White Hands Association," which has 45 partners supporting its projects in places of displacement and camps, is concerned with the success of emergency projects, and has opened a headquarters in Afrin called "Supreme Council of Turkman Syria," to support and finance projects in various villages and neighbourhoods of occupied Afrin,

Subsequently, it contributed to the construction of an apartment complex near Kali Nawaleh in the Sherawa district village of şadêre, which is called "Basma," to settle Turkmen, in cooperation with and with the participation of the Ankara-based Turkish association Ahsan Relief and Development Association, which provides "support to displaced families of armed ethnic insurgency in Syria." Having participated in the establishment of settlement projects in Afrin, housing Turkmen from Homs and Latakia, in addition, it had taken over agricultural land in the village of Tel Tawila with a view to establishing housing projects there and had built 247 housing units in northwestern Janders, following the confiscation of land between the villages of Kansfar and Tatara.

As well as the Qatari “Atta Without Borders” association, which implements housing projects in Afrin, as it works “in support of the Arab and Islamic nation” and relief for its displaced and refugees, and depends on its funding directly on the Qatari leadership. By building their own housing complexes. The Association provided material support to Ghouta, Homs and Deir ez-Zor settlers in Afrin through the construction of their own apartment blocks.

Furthermore, the International Charitable Association for Development, which is based in the State of Kuwait, participated in financing the project to build new settlements in Afrin, as it claims: “It works to achieve sustainable community development in various humanitarian projects in Kuwait and abroad, especially in Syria.”

Rojava Center for Studies explained that most of these associations participated and provided material support through the border crossings, especially in Janders district, because it is close to the border crossings “Hammam Village Crossing – Atma Crossing”, so they were exposed to most settlement campaigns, and through these settlement practices, displacement and forced residents to leave their lands and homes, and the recruitment of settlers, the proportion of the Kurdish population in the villages of Janders decreased to 30% and 25% in the center of the same district.

The policy of Turkification and Arabization applied by Turkey and the Brotherhood reveals the Turkish strategy towards the Kurds in general and Afrin in particular, and racist Turkey has experiences and a history full of genocides and demographic changes, Kurdistan, Armenia, Sanjak of Alexandretta, etc... And what it is doing in Afrin is nothing but a series that complements the Ottoman intentions Malicious, in front of the suspicious silence of the world.
