Today, the Democratic Union Party issued a statement to the public opinion about the attacks launched by the Turkish occupation army on Mexmûr Camp.

The text of the statement included:

"We condemn the brutal attack by the Turkish state on Mexmûr Camp, and we denounce this operation which is contrary to all humanitarian and international principles and laws, as the Turkish state, with its criminal weapons, bombarded the camp inhabited by civilians, and the Turkish occupation's aircraft bombed Kurêjaro Mount near Şêladizê City in Amêdiyê District of Duhok Governorate.

In conjunction with its warplanes launching air raids on Çarçel Hill and its surrounding Metina Area of the legitimate defense zones on Saturday evening, six members of the Peshmerga lost their lives, as the Turkish occupation aims to cause Kurdish fighting, so the Kurdistan Democratic Party should not to be drawn into the conspiracies that the Turkish state intends to cause.

The Turkish attacks pose a real danger to the entire geography of Kurdistan and to the Kurdish people in general amid a systematic and suspicious silence and with no deterrence by the government of Başûr Kurdistan towards them.

We, in the General Council of the Democratic Union Party, call on the Kurdish people to stand firm and stand in the face of these barbaric operations, and we also call on the Iraqi state and the Kurdistan Regional Government to stand up to these attacks and assume their responsibilities and humanitarian, morality and legitimate duties, taking a clear and frank stance towards the Turkish aggression and defending their border against it."
