Since April 23rd, Turkish occupation forces carry out attacks on the Medya Self Defence Zones in Southern Kurdistan with the aim to occupy and annihilate the Kurdish people using every evil species of outlawed weapons as the Guerrilla Forces put up an intrepid resistance in standing up to the Turkish occupiers.

Earlier, KCK and HPG both called on the Kurdish people to rise to the occasion against the aggression that target the Kurdish existence in Kurdistan.

Mohamed Abdul Rahim Derik Council Co-chair was interviewed by ANHA.

''since April 23rd, and after a phone call between Erdogan and the U.S. president and as the latter gave recognition to the Armenian Genocide Turkey began an onslaught against Metina, Avashin and Zap in the Medya Zones'', he said adding '' these attacks are with the aim of annihilation as the Turkish state seeks to put an end to the free thought, fight and resistance''.

Abdula Rahim went on to say: '' the Turkish state used every kinds of weapon in it's shelling of the area not sparing even the internationally outlawed ones, such as chemicals and the aim is not only the Medya Zones rather to terminate all peoples in the region''.

Derik Co-chair hailed the resistance put up by the Guerrilla Forces against the highly advance Turkish occupation army', the HPG fighters perform an historical resistance against the Turkish occupation forces and it's mercenary groups though they are very advanced technically''.

Abdula Rahim voiced his sorrows on the silence preserved by the KRG '' the Kurdish people at thi9s time express stances via activities and unfortunately the government in Southern Kurdistan is silent and did not lift a finger'', as it forbids the people to go to the streets to denounce these attacks jailing every one that tries to do that''.

Abdul Rahim called on both the Iraqi Federal Government and the Kurdistan Regional Government to verify their positions on the latest attacks by the Turkish occupation forces saying that the former may ''put pressure on Turkey on the legal arena and via the international law''.
