What is happening in Sherawa in the last 3 days ?

The Occupation Army and its mercenaries have recently stepped up their targeting of civilians in Sherawa district's villages and Shahba canton.

Three days ago, Turkey and its mercenaries continued to bomb villages in Sherawa villages, and a group of mercenaries attempted to infiltrate within Sokanga village in Sherawa on 3^rd May.

On the same day, the occupation bombed the villages of Sokanga, Aqabya and Beina, and Zayarh with hundreds of artillery and rocket shells. This resulted in the burning of forest trees between the villages of Sokanga and Aqabya.  Agriculture lands planted with wheat and barley were burned in Beina village, as well as material damage to civilian homes and the loss of some 5,000 cattle during the bombing.

In the afternoon of June 3^rd, the Turkish Occupation targeted the six besieged villages in the Sherawa district with dozens of rocket and artillery shells, namely Mayasa, Zarniateh, Burj Al-Qas, Kolita, Qundi Mazn-and Bashmara.

The Turkish Occupation continued to target the villages in question in the 4 months. In the late night hours of the same day, it again targeted the village of Qoltiah with dozens of artillery shells. This led to the martyrdom of the girl Zainab Hussein Ibrahim (14 years- old) and serious injuries to her brother Bakri Ibrahim and her father Hussein Ibrahim.

It is reported that this is not the first time that the Turkish Occupation targeted the besieged villages of Sherawa, where dozens of civilians lost their lives as a result of direct bombing of those villages.

The Turkish Occupation perpetrated a massacre of an entire family of Afrin migrants in the village of Aqabya last year, as well as a massacre of 10 citizens, including eight children under the age of 15, in late 2019.

the people of the Sherawa region denounced the crimes of Turkish Occupation against them, stressing that the Turkish Occupation directly targets civilians, especially children.

"In the late hours of the night, the Turkish Occupation targets the civilian villages, with a view to deporting us again," Khalil noted.

Khalil explained that the missiles fired by the Turkish Occupation and its mercenaries at villages in Sherawa, depending on the scale of the damage to homes, were high-explosive missiles.

In conclusion, Khalil stressed their continued resistance in the Sherawa district, defying all difficulties by aiming to return to Afrin.

For her part, citizen Almaza Ahmed said that "the silence of the Russian forces indicates that Russia is an accomplice to the Turkish Occupation in its violations against the people in the Sherawa district."

Almaza asserted that the Turkish Occupation "continuously and daily targets civilians in the villages of the Sherawa district."
