Afrin displaced women consider settlements to be a plan for eradicating Kurds

 After the occupation by the Turkish Occupying Sate and its mercenaries of Afrin canton on March 18^th, 2018, they committed the most heinous crimes against its people, neither nature nor religious and archaeological sites were safe from Turkish shelling.

Fidan Othman, an IDP from Afrin, who lives in Serdam Camp, said that "Erdogan is gathering mercenaries from around the various places and putting them in the city of Afrin to displace its indigenous people."

On the processes of demographic change, she added "the Turkish occupier changed the names of villages, hospitals and schools with a view to obliterating Kurdish culture and establishing of the Turkification policy," and completed "During Turkey's attack on Afrin we were forcibly abandoned to Shahba canton, and today we are experiencing difficulties in liberating our lands."

Afrin is ours

The displaced Elft Birko said in her turn: "The Turkish Occupation commits crimes against people and their property, cutting down trees, plundering monuments and abducting women, children and men. Today, it aims to root out the Kurd and deny their existence by establishing settlement compounds in Afrin."

She said: "Turkey is establishing settlements in the form of small villages with foreign assistance from Qatari and other States, called humanitarian assistance, to establish their presence in Afrin.

She condemned the silence of international organizations that neglected the crimes of occupation: Erdogan realizes that Afrin is ours and we will not abandon her.
