Since Turkish occupation army invaded Sere Kaniye and Gire Spi in October 2019, the whole region is open to a wide range and systematic demographic change as civilians are forces to flee and leave their homes to be taken possession of by mercenaries. Then IDPs if allowed to return home they are asked to pay huge amounts of ransoms. These cases that are countless were documented by ANHA that met a number of IDPs inflicted with crimes at the hands of the Turkish occupation forces and the affiliated mercenary groups.

Abdul Hakim Sleiman an IDP from the village of Abdelselam in eastern Sere Kaniye city is one in a series of victims of the Turkish occupation forces invasion into the region that told to ANHA about the unbearable damages and losses inflicted him.

''I used to have many real estates and properties and lands that have all become under Turkish occupation and the mercenaries of the National Army, now I only have a few numbers of sheep'', he said.

''I had 2400 dunums of agrarian lands that I left behind as terrorists were approaching, my belongings and properties that I left amount to a billion SYP'', he added.

Sleiman was captured at the hands of the mercenary groups when his city was occupied saying that the first question posed to him by a militant from the city of Idlib was whether he was a Kurd or an Arab, adding that when I said that I am a Kurd he told me that my affiliation is going to be changed to be an Arab, confirming that they do not give preference to an Arab against a Kurd, their sole obsession is money, looting and robbery.

Sleiman stresses that the Kurds were the most inflicted of all components, ''they set their eyes on my car, after a while I fled away to save my life, civilians in general wanted to flee in anticipation of what was coming they all left behind all their belongings and properties, all on the hope that this displacement was for a short period of time, a matter of two or three days no more''.

Sleiman narrated the story of one of his relatives that returned to the city to fetch his belongings and how he was trapped by the mercenary groups to be ensnared and a ransom of 13, 000 USD was demanded for his release.

All these crimes and offences are committed under the nose of the Turkish occupation forces and via a direct instructions by the Turkish Intelligence Services that lift no finger as observers agree that all these are being encouraged on intention to create a new reality on the ground of demographic changes as new settlements are being under construction some in Jarablus have being finished.
