Political developments discussed with ad-Darbasiyah people

Dozens of people from ad-Darbasiyah district and members of civil institutions attended the meeting at the Martyr Zevin Park in ad-Darbasiyah district.

The meeting began with holding a minute of silence, and then the Administrator of ad-Darbasiyah District Council, Restum Bakr, spoke about the latest developments taking place in north and east Syria and the Middle East in general, and said: "The region is witnessing rapid political developments, and the people of north and east Syria must be aware of what is happening."

He pointed out that the authoritarian and hostile regimes of the Kurdistan Liberation Movement are hatching plots to eliminate the gains of the Kurdish people, in an indication to the attacks of the Turkish occupation army on the legitimate defense zones, and he said: "Capitalist regimes are not concerned with a relevant party or movement, but rather trying to eliminate democratic projects and democratic thought philosophy."

Bakr continued, "For this reason, we are witnessing today intense attacks on the legitimate defense zones in Başûr Kurdistan led by the Turkish occupation state that occupied Afrin, Serêkaniyê and Tel Abyad." He added, "All human rights and humanitarian organizations are silent about the violations committed by Turkey against civilians; kidnapping, killing, displacement."

He also touched on the silence of the Kurdistan Regional Government about the attacks launched by Turkey on its territory, and stressed the urgency to show a serious position.

At the end of the meeting, the participants discussed a number of social and service problems and issues being witnessed in the district, and ways to solve them.
