Mass demo in Kobani in support of Guerrilla forces

The Kobani District Council organized a mass demonstration, in which hundreds of residents, representatives of the Kurdish parties and members of civil and military institutions participated.

The demonstrators carried pictures of the leader Abdullah Ocalan, Kurdish flags, and banners reading "Long live the resistance of freedom-seekers,” and “No to genocide, no to new conspiracy."

The demonstrators set off from Free Women’s Square towards Peace Square, chanting slogans that salute the Guerrilla resistance, and upon reaching Peace Square they stopped a minute of silence to remember and pay homage to the souls of the martyrs.

Then Osman Ismail delivered a speech on behalf of the Kobani District Council, in which he said: "The Turkish state dreams of reviving Ottoman rule again, so it wants to divide the Middle East in order to occupy it, and everyone must know that the Turkish occupation does not come out of areas it occupies."

Osman Ismail confirmed "there is historical resistance in the mountains of Kurdistan in the face of the Turkish fascist occupation attacks, and the Guerrilla forces are ready to go to all regions if necessary."

Ismail indicated that the Guerrilla forces helped defeat the largest terrorist organization (ISIS) in the city of Kobani, and today they are fighting and resisting in Shengal and the mountains of Kurdistan.

"We must trust our forces, the Guerrilla forces, and stand by them," he concluded.

It is noteworthy that this demonstration comes as part of a series of events that are being organized in Kobani district in support of the resistance of the People’s Defense Forces in Başûr Kurdistan against the Turkish occupation attacks, as well as a rejection of the US administration’s recent decision against 3 cadres of the Kurdish liberation movement.
