Internal Security Forces: Predators exploit peaceful demonstrations to create chaos

This came through a statement issued by the General Command of the Internal Security Forces - North and East Syria regarding the demonstrations and protests that took place in several areas of north eastern Syria, rejecting the decision to raise fuel prices by the Autonomous Administration, and the text of the statement stated:

"As a result of several peaceful demonstrations that took place by our people in the areas of the Democratic Autonomous Administration to express their opinion, some traitors and those who mess with public security and who have external connections, agendas have taken advantage of these demonstrations to create a state of strife between the components of people and the military, security forces by attacking the points, centers, military and civil institutions, and creating a state of chaos. The aggression in which weapons were used targeted the demonstrators and members of our forces, and this resulted in the injury of a number of our civilians, and members of our forces.

Accordingly, we note to our people and the public opinion that we work and closely follow the actions of those who exploit peaceful demonstrations and shoot live bullets at the demonstrators, and we also confirm that everyone who carries out these acts will be transferred to the judiciary to get penalty.

We also call on our people to pay, beware of these actions and not to be dragged behind these seditions and the parties that play with civil peace and the security and stability of the Democratic Autonomous Administration's areas.

We, in the Internal Security Forces, have been and are still working and sacrificing in order to protect our people and gains, and with your solidarity, we will eliminate all schemes that distort public security."
