Russian raids on rural Latakia and Idlib

On Sunday, Russian warplanes targeted Latakia and Idlib countryside with at least 12 raids, in conjunction with the bombing by Damascus government forces of rural Latakia and Hama.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that on Sunday morning, Russian warplanes carried out at least 12 raids on rural Latakia and Idlib, targeting the village of Albarnas and its surroundings in the western Idlib countryside, and the Khabana hills within Jabal Al-Akrad of northern countryside of Latakia.

On a related level, Damascus government forces bombed areas in the Khabana hubs of Jabal Al-Akrad, other hubs of Jabal Al - Turkman, Al - Ankawi, Al-Kahera, Saramaniyah and Khirbat Al –Nakos in the Ghab plain northwest of Hama.

On the evening of April 29^th, the Syrian Observatory monitored carrying of military aircraft, likely Russian, on sites near the administrative border between Idlib and Hama governorates, where it heard their explosions near the Zizon thermal station, while local sources reported targeting a military position in Khirbat Al –Nakos in the Ghab plain northwest of Hama.
