Since April 23, the Turkish occupation army has launched attacks on the areas of Avashin, Zab and Matina, with all kinds of modern and advanced weapons, and chemical weapons 9 times, according to a statement issued by the Peoples' Defense Forces Center.

In previous statements, both the commander of the Peoples' Defense Center, Murad Qarylan, and the joint head of the leadership body in the Kurdistan Communities Union, Jamil Bayik, confirmed that the Turkish attacks on legitimate defense zones are strategic.

The two leaders pointed out that the Turkish attack coincided with the anniversary of the Ottoman genocides against the Armenians, indicating that the attack was the goal of extermination.

The co-chair of the Democratic Society Movement, Gharib Hesso, explained during a meeting with ANHA agency that the Turkish attack on the legitimate defense zones is a comprehensive war against the renewal movement  in the region in light of the democratic nation project that is opposed by the capitalist forces, and considered that international silence lies behind its opposition to any new project in the region.

'A joint scheme by Turkey and its allies'

Hesso stressed the need to accurately assess the attacks on the legitimate defense zones, given their importance, and said, "These attacks target the will of the Kurdish people, and this scheme is not only a Turkish scheme, but a joint onewith its allies."

He indicated that Turkey seeks to occupy Avashin, Zab and Metina.

He touched on the resistance of the fighters of the Peoples' Defense Forces (Guerrillas) in the face of Turkish attacks, dubbing it as "great historic resistance", and said: "The Turkish occupation army has so far received painful blows."

He indicated that there is an all-out war against the Kurds in Başûr Kurdistan, Şingal, Rojava and Bakûr Kurdistan, led by Turkey and backed by the capitalist countries. The water of the Euphrates is dropped to the people of the region, and in Bakûr Kurdistan, all those who supported the Kobanê resistance are now arrested, and the leader, Abdullah Ocalan, is strictly isolated in Imrali prison.

'The goal is to eliminate thought and free will'

He said that the main goal of launching an all-out war against the Kurds is the elimination of free thought and free. "

He explained that the international community keeps silent as a result of its approach to developments with the same old mentality, so it cannot find a solution to the existing crises, so it keeps silent. This policy is consistent with Turkey's one. He said, "When the Turkish occupation state targets our will, and the United Nations, America and Russia remain silent, this indicates that it is dealing with the region with an old mentality that is complementary to Turkey's crimes."

He noted that those who struggle against the old mentality are the owners of free thought and contemporary modern politics, which takes the will of the peoples as a basis for it. The will of the Kurdish people and contemporary free thought.

'Turkish attacks are supported internationally and regionally'

He explained that Turkey follows a scorched land policy against the Kurds, as it targets people and stones, cuts water, and denies the will of the people. Others, such as America and some European countries, and it is not surprising that it receives support from some Arab countries as well. "

He stressed the need to show great resistance in the face of Turkish attacks to suit the free will of the peoples, and said: "The recent attack on the regions of Avashin, Zab and Metina does not target the PKK only, it is an attack Kurds and Kurdistan."

He indicated that the Kurdish people must understand that Turkey is against the Kurdish will and believes that the existence of the Kurdish people is a danger to it, and said: “This is a real problem, and despite thecommunication between the Kurdistan region and the international community, this could not convince Turkey to accept the regionflag, not even a stamp of the Kurdistan map on it. "

'The international community is a partner in the Turkish massacres'

He emphasized that one of the main reasons for the intense Turkish massacres against the Kurds is international silence weather in Syria, Iran, Iraq or Turkey. "

'issues in the region should not be resolved at the expense of the Kurds'

He said, "The solution for the issues outstanding in the Middle East is directly related to the solution of the Kurdish cause, and the international community must realize this."

He emphasized: "Using the Kurdish issue as a political card is immoral, the more correct is adopting the will of the Kurdish people and solving the Kurdish issue fairly."

Hesso touched on the Kurdish people's struggle by saying that the Kurdish people established their organization, have strength and will, struggle for their cause, enjoy a modern and developed philosophy and mentality, and strive to gain freedom, achieve democracy and people's fraternity, so Turkey and even Syria, Iraq and Iran want to eliminate the Kurds.

Hesso criticized the Kurdistan Regional Government’s silence towards the Turkish attacks on the legitimate defense zones, saying, "This is not the first time that the Administration of Başûr Kurdistan has remained silent about the Turkish attacks, and this silence is evidence of a consensus between them."

Hesso made clear: "If the Turkish state occupies an area, it will not abandon it. On the contrary, it establishes military bases in it, and Idlib is a good example of that. The Kurdistan Regional Government should realize that well."

He noted, "Now the Kurdistan Democratic Party is besieged, on the one hand the Turkish occupation is advancing towards Başûr, and the popular crowd on the other hand. It is losing its popularity, so it must break its silence."

'Who deals with Turkey?'

Hesso explained that Turkey is an occupying country, and claims to represent the Sunni Islamist line, but we must know very well who is dealing with the occupation state, and said, "Those who deal with Turkey are the mercenary factions who fought in Syria, with the backing of Qatar and some countries that support terrorism."

He added, "Turkey does not use its soldiers in wars, but rather uses its followers and mercenaries."

'The objectve of supporting Turkey is to develop mercenaries, and the Kurds and Arabs must escalate resistance'

Hesso indicated that the capitalist countries that support Turkey aim to develop mercenaries and settle mercenaries on the borders of Iran and Azerbaijan to put pressure on Iran, and said, "In the event that a war breaks out between Iran and America, it will be on the lands of Kurdistan, and Turkey is aware of this and has a plan." He noted that in this case Kurdistan will be dealt the blow, and it is not surprising that Kurdistan would be divided into 6 parts."

Gharib Hesso stressed the need for the Kurdish and Arab people to escalate resistance against the Turkish attacks and the plans being hatched against the region.

'The international community gives Turkey the green light to launch chemical attacks against Kurds'

During the meeting, Hesso touched on Turkey's use of chemical weapons against Kurds, and said, "In its recent attacks on the areas of Zap, Avashin and Metina, the Turkish occupation state has used chemical weapons several times against the Guerrilla fighters, and the use of chemical weapons is a crime according to international covenants."

Hesso denounced the policies of the international community, human rights and humanitarian organizations that contradict their principles and foundations, and said, "In Syria, chemical weapons were used, and so far this issue is being discussed in all international forums."

He noted that the silence of the organizations concerned with the use of chemical weapons gives Turkey a green light to launch attacks against Kurds, as it used it in both Syria through mercenaries, and in Libya as well, and now in the areas of Başûr Kurdistan.

Hesso called on international organizations concerned with chemical weapons, foremost of which the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, to intervene and find out the truth about what is happening on the ground in the legitimate defense zones now, and said, "The Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons must follow the issue and know the reality of Turkey's use of chemical weapons."
