Today, the Training Committee for the Democratic Society and the Culture and Art Movement organized a celebration, on the occasion of the Kurdish Language Festival, which falls on May 15, in Sherawa sub-district in Afrin canton.

As part of the series of activities that the Training Committee for Democratic Society started on the occasion of the Kurdish Language Festival, a celebration was organized in Kharbaka village of Sherawa district.

Dozens of educational staff participated in the celebration, in addition to the people of the villages of Sherawa district, raising banners that read in Arabic and Kurdish: "Our struggle is our language and the blood of our martyrs. We want learning in our language."

The celebration began with a minute of silence, followed by a speech by the co-chair of the Training Committee for the Democratic Society of Democratic Society, Laila Fayo. At the beginning, the Kurdish Language Festival blessed the leader Abdullah Ocalan and all freedom fighters.

"on the 15th of May, the Kurds in Kurdistan celebrate the Kurdish Language Festival, as Hawar magazine was published in 1932 by Jaladat Badrakhan in the Kurdish language," Leila said.

"In order to preserve the Kurdish language from disappearing, thousands of Kurds sacrificed their lives for the preservation of the Kurdish language," she added.

This was followed by a speech by the Vice Presidency of the Sherawa District Council, Hanif Seedo, in which he congratulated on the 15th of May, and said that this day is a historic day for the Kurds to revive our language and our self, and to know and introduce our generations to their mother tongue and their true identity. "

After that, the celebration began with the group "Kililken Afrin - Shahid Shiro - Jiayi Lilon" for the students to perform singing performances, as the people held the Dabkeh episodes on the impact of revolutionary and popular songs.

The celebration ended with a theatrical performance presented by students and teachers on the importance of the Kurdish language and encouraging parents to learn in the mother tongue.
