Condemning Turkish attacks.. hundreds protest in Aleppo, affirm support for Guerrilla

The people of the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods in Aleppo renewed their pledge to the People’s Defense Forces (Guerrilla) to back them and escalate the struggle until victory is achieved, at the demonstration Star Congress organized in the two neighborhoods today.

The demonstration was launched under the slogan “In the spirit of Gara's resistance, we have triumphed and we will prevail in the resistance of Avashin, Zap and Metina,” denouncing the Turkish occupation army’s barbaric attacks on the Legitimate Defense Zones in Zap, Metina and Avashin since April 23, amid shameful international silence, especially the governments of Hewler and Baghdad’s inaction.

Hundreds of residents of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh, along with members of political parties and civil institutions have demonstrated carrying pictures of the leader Abdullah Ocalan and pictures of the martyrs in the Legitimate Defense Zones, as well as the flags of Star Congress, the Martyrs Families Council and the Democratic Union Party, amid chanting slogans glorifying the martyrs and saluting the Guerrilla resistance.

The demonstrators roamed the streets of the neighborhood and stopped for a minute of silence in honor of the souls of the martyrs.

Member of Star Congress Coordination in Aleppo, Amna Khadro, gave a speech praising the heroic resistance shown by the Guerrilla fighters in the Legitimate Defense Zones in Zap, Mtina and Avashin, "and inflicting the worst losses on the enemy in equipment and lives."

For her part, Sultana Muhammad, member of Star Congress Coordination, denounced "the shameful international silence about the Turkish crimes in the Legitimate Defense Zones and in the occupied areas in North and East Syria as well as using internationally prohibited weapons in the barbaric war against the People’s Defense Forces."

Sultana Muhammad and Amna Khadro also shed light on the true aim of the crimes of the Turkish occupation state, "to annihilate and erase the Kurdish history, Kurdish culture and the Kurdish people," and expressed full confidence in Guerrilla to achieve victory.

The words called on the Kurdish parties to unify ranks and stand against Turkish fascism, which aims, through its attacks, to eliminate the Kurdish people.

The demonstration ended with chanting slogans that salute the resistance of the Guerrilla, Zap, Avashin and Mina.
