7 deaths, 44 new COVID 19 cases in NE, Syria

On Wednesday, the Health Body of the Autonomous Administration of Northern and Eastern Syria announced the registration of 7 deaths of people infected with HIV and 44 new infections in north- eastern Syria.

The co-chair of the Health Body of the Autonomous Administration of Northern and Eastern Syria, Joan Mustafa, explained that the deaths were those of two men, two women from Qamishlo, one man from Girkê Legê and two men from Deir ez - Zor.

Mustafa confirmed that they had registered 44 new HIV infections in north -eastern Syria, 17 males and 27 females, distributed as follows:

Hasakah 14 cases

Qamishlo 1 case

Dirk 2 case

Çil Agha 1 case

Raqqa, 23 cases

Roj Camp, 3 cases

Mustafa added that they had registered six new cases of recovery.

The number of cases with COVID 19 infection in north eastern Syria is reported to have reached 16,319 with the new cases being declared, including 636 deaths and 1,673 cases of recovery.
