Suspicious moves preceded attacks .. Egyptian expert: International deals only targets Kurds

Since the 24th of April, the Turkish occupation army has continued its attacks on the areas of Matina, Avashin and Zab in the Medya.

This attack coincided with the 106 anniversary of the Armenian genocide at the hands of the Ottomans, which according to observers, aims and methods are similar between that genocide and the AKP authorities' attempt to exterminate the Kurd

Prior to these attacks, the United States announced the extension of the bounty for anyone who provides information about 3 top PKK’s leaders, indicating that there was an American green light to Turkey, especially since this coincided with a contact between US President Joe Biden and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan .

Despite the statements of Biden during his election campaign, which confirmed that his priorities would be human rights and pledged to put pressure on Turkey, a few days ago, he admitted to the genocide of Armenians, forgetting the Turkish crimes against the Kurds.

'An approach of more than 100 years'

And about that, the head of the Cairo Center for Kurdish Studies, Mr. Abdel Fattah, said: "The Turkish attack on the mountains of the Kurdistan region is not new. It has been going on for years. Its aim is nothing but to strike the resistant PKK fighters against the Turkish state’s chauvinism."

On the link between these attacks and the Ottomans’ genocides against the Armenians, Abdel Fattah said: “There is only one link, is the approach of the Turkish state, the Turkish regime and mentality are still the same, and denies the existence of the others. "

He explained that, "Just as they did against the Armenians, they committed genocides no less than against the ancient and ancient Kurdish people who have the right, and the Turkish attacks on the Kurdish people are still continuing until now.”

A misconception on the part of the governments of Baghdad and the KRG

He added: "These military operations in which the Turkish state continues its aggression and violation of all United Nations charters and state sovereignty, and it is a continuous assault on the sovereignty of the State of Iraq and the Kurdistan region. There should be a position, and an international and regional one that rejects it." For these operations and forcing the Turkish state to stop these operations that violate the sovereignty of the Iraqi state.”

With regard to the sides position, Abd al-Fattah clarified that “it cannot be completely determined that there is consent, approval or support from the central government in Iraq or the Kurdistan Regional Government, but parties may see that these military operations are in their interest and these misunderstanding things."

And whether there is a link between these attacks and Baghdad’s attempt to storm Şingal, Abdel Fattah said: “Perhaps Baghdad thinks that storming of Şingal in conjunction with the Turkish attacks is in its interest, but the Turkish state operations for years is a violation of Iraqi sovereignty and threatens the security of the Iraqi's sects, and the Iraqi government must reject it in all forms and move to demand the removal of Turkish forces from Iraqi lands.

Turkey is an enemy of the Kurds.

In this context, he pointed out that "the Turkish state is the enemy of all the Kurdish people. The Turkish state cannot have hostility and war between it and a Kurdish party, and between it and another Kurdish party, friendship, affection, love, and economic and political relations!"

He stressed that "the Turkish state rejects the existence of the Kurdish people in the four parts on its historical land for thousands of years, and confirms what the Turkish state said, although pretending to have good relations with the regional government, but when the latter announced a referendum, the Turkish state opposed it, threatening in cooperation with Iran, to impose an economic blockade on the region.

He continued: "These positions confirm that Turkey does not view the Kurdish people in any positive way, and that its position is one towards all Kurdish forces and people in all parts of Kurdistan."

Numerous international deals and the Kurds are always victim

On the international situation, Abdel Fattah said: "There is something like collusion between the international community with the Turkish state. Turning a blind eye by these international forces is what gives the Turkish state the opportunity to continue its attacks on the Kurdish people in Turkey, Syria or Iraq." 

He added, "This international community is condoning the Turkish attacks; this is a disgraceful position that has poured into the brow of the international community and international laws, and other international powers that do not have full interests with Turkey, such as France, should lead a process in the international community to stop the Turkish attacks on the Kurdish people."

He added, "We know that there are strong relations between the Turkish state and effective forces in the international community that encourage Erdogan and the Turkish state to go ahead with their aggression against the Kurdish people."

On America’s renewal of the bounty for anyone who provides information about top PKK leaders, Abdul Fattah said: “We were surprised by the recent US position by renewing bounty on 3 key PKK leaders. This is an unacceptable position that raises suspicion about the reality of the American stances towards the Kurdish people and the Turkish state as well."

He explained that "The American administration's officials statements often show deteriorating relations with the Turkish state but their relations are well-established not affected by the person who sits in the White House.

He added: "There is no difference between Biden and his predecessors and those who follow him. The issue of Biden making contact with Erdogan is as if it is tantamount to giving a green light to Turkey to continue its attacks on the Kurdish people, and this reveals the double standards of international powers, especially the United States, while it recognized the genocide of Armenians, it green lights Erdogan to deliver his aggression and his plan to exterminate the Kurds. "

He continued: "This American position exposes its duplicity according to double standards that take into account its interests. Reasoning and self-respect says that as long as the United States recognized the genocide of Armenians by the Turks, it was necessary." It should apply the same standard on the Turkish regime against its crimes the Kurdish people. "

As for Iran's position on the Turkish attacks on the mountains of Kurdistan, Abdel Fattah said: “Iran has a very strong influence and the first player in Iraq, and thus its silence on what is happening from Turkish attacks on the Kurds in Iraq and Syria, this means that there is a deal between Iran, Turkey and Russia. "

He added in this context: "There are many deals between the United States and Turkey, Turkey and Russia, Turkey and the Syrian regime, Turkey and Iran, and in most of these deals the victim is the Kurdish people. We never forget the dirty deals that the United States struck with Turkey and Russia with Turkey against the Kurdish people in Syria, the result of which was the occupation of Afrin and the attempt to exterminate and displace its people and replace it with criminal elements of Islamist terrorist militias.

The head of the Cairo Center for Kurdish Studies, Mr. Abdel Fattah concluded his speech by saying: “This confirms these ongoing dirty deals. Therefore, the Kurdish parties, especially in Syria, must fully pay attention that there is no lasting friendship and that the true face of Russia and America takes into account only its interests."
