A number of residents of Tay neighborhood left their neighborhood a few days ago, following the clashes that erupted as a result of the National Defense mercenaries' attack on the Internal Security Forces checkpoint in Al-Wahda roundabout in Qamishlo city.

In this regard, the deputy co-chair of Qamishlo Canton Council, Hajj Abd al-Wahhab Jamil, told our agency: “As a result of the practices of the National Defense mercenaries in Tay neighborhood, a number of the neighborhood residents went to the city of Qamishlo, and we in turn received them and provided their needs.”

Jamil added, "Some of the people did not have accommodation, so the people of Qamishlo received them cordially, and in turn we provided them with their food needs."

He added, "a number of people had relatives in the city, so we delivered them there upon their own desire."

Jamil pointed out that "the people who left Tayy neighborhood were upset with the practices of the National Defense mercenaries in the region, and the sedition they provoked among the components," and affirmed that the Qamishlo Canton Council is ready to provide all that is required of it to the people.
