Internal Security's commander: Our goal is to remove National Defense from al-Tay neighborhood

The Commander of the Internal Security Forces, Ilham Al-Abdullah, said that the mercenaries of the National Defense continue to provoke them, stating, "Our goal is to expel the mercenaries of the National Defense from al-Tay neighborhood."

The Commander of the Internal Security Forces, Ilham Al-Abdullah, made a statement to our agency about the latest events in the city of Qamishlo, especially in al-Tay neighborhood.

She said: "The attacks began on Tuesday night after the mercenaries of the National Defense attacked the checkpoint of our forces near al-Wehda roundabout, and therefore our forces responded to the attack, and the clashes continued until yesterday evening."

She pointed to the ceasefire, saying: "After the intervention of the Russian forces and the Relations Office, a ceasefire agreement was concluded for a period of ten hours, but the National Defense mercenaries again violated the agreement, and targeted one of our points in Halko neighborhood."

Ilham Al-Abdullah added, "The Internal Security Forces' goal is to protect civilians and our regions from any attack and to provide stability; however, the mercenaries of the National Defense are undermining this stability."

She noted, "The mercenaries of the National Defense continue their attacks and provocations, and we seek to remove them from the neighborhood completely."

Ilham Al-Abdullah concluded, "We, as the Internal Security Forces, will protect our areas from any attack targeting the security of our region."
