​​​​​​​Dignitaries' Body condemns Hayes assassination

The Dignitaries' Body of North and East Syria issued a statement to the public opinion in response to the assassination of Bani Sab'a clan's notable last night by the mercenaries of the "National Defense" and said in its statement:

"Events are taking place in Qamishlo by the militias of the so-called National Defense in addition to their attempt to ignite a discord between the components of the region to strike civil peace and co-existence and the state of security, stability achieved thanks to the sacrifices of thousands of martyrs from the components of north eastern Syria.

These militias do not represent the Arab clans and their original values, rather, they are outlaw groups, linked to agendas that aim to undermine security and stability, and they are drug dealers and thieves.

This required the Internal Security Forces to intervene, respond to their attacks and transgressions and to put an end to their terrorist practices. The best proof of this is that they targeted one of the symbols of the Arab tribes, the late Hayes al-Jeryan, Abu Lawrence, the dignitary of Bani Sab'a clan of Tay tribe, who was seeking to stave off sedition, but was targeted at the hand of treachery in front of his house, which led to his martyrdom.

We, in the Dignitaries' Body of North and East Syria, call on our people and all authentic Arab tribes not to be drawn into the sedition attempts that these mercenary groups are seeking."
