In an interview with our agency, Mohamed Khair Sheikho said, "The attacks of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries on the areas of north and east Syria, specifically Ain Issa and the northern and western countryside of Manbij, have escalated during March, while there were celebrations in the region on the occasion of International Women's Day and Newroz Day."

He added, "The Turkish occupation presented a gift to mothers on these holidays by targeting their children with the bombing that targeted the populated villages in the countryside of Manbij and Ain Issa," noting that "this is the approach of the Turkish state in the areas of north-east Syria since the beginning of the Syrian crisis."

Mohamed Khair Sheikho affirmed that "the fate of the occupier is demise, no matter what criminal acts it practices and massacres it commits against the peoples of the region, it will get out of it one day, with the solidarity of all components in the region and standing together in the face of Turkish aggression."

The Co-chair of the Executive Council in the Democratic Civil Administration of Manbij and its countryside believes that the attacks of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries on the region and its people are not new, and that "Turkey is fighting by various means and methods the peoples of the region, as cutting off water of the Euphrates two months ago constitutes a disaster since the agricultural season has begun, and the peoples of the region depend on agriculture and fishing as their source of livelihood, in addition to that, the dams have stopped generating electrical energy at their full potential, working according to the limited capabilities."|

At the end of his speech, Sheikho criticized the stance and silence of the international community and human rights and humanitarian organizations towards the attacks of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries on the areas of north and east Syria.
