Kongra Star launches sit-in tent event to disclose Ocalan's health status

The sit-in tent event was launched today, in Ari Park, located in al-Seyahi neighborhood in Qamishlo city, at the initiative of Kongra Star, with attendance the members of the Kongra Star, the Democratic Union Party and the Martyrs' Families Council.

Member of the Executive Committee of the Democratic Union Party, Mazakin Ahmed, delivered a lecture during the sit-in event, in which she noted that the fascist Turkish state seeks to eradicate human values, and is working to promote allegations about leader health's status. She also added, "They tried to test the Kurdish people and the peoples who are fighting for freedom. We do not know the validity of these allegations, but we attach great importance to them, and we will continue our struggle until the family and lawyers are allowed to visit Leader Ocalan."

Shaha Khalil, spokesperson of the Kongra Star in Qamishlo city, also spoke during the event about the allegations that the media circulated about Ocalan health's status, and said that these allegations must be taken seriously, adding: “We will continue our activities and stay in the squares until seeing the leader.

Shaha Khalil noted that the isolation imposed on leader Ocalan is isolation against humanity. It also affirmed that the leader Ocalan has the right to meet with his lawyer and family, and appealed to the international powers and humanitarian organizations to take serious action and respond to the demands of the lawyers and the family.

The co-chair of Martyrs' Families Council in Qamishlo city, Haifi Syed, said in her speech: "The leader is free with his ideas. The whole world is talking today about his philosophy, and we will continue our struggle and our activities until the physical freedom of leader Ocalan is achieved."

As for a member of the Democratic Union Party, Yahya Suleiman, he indicated that the conspiring forces would not succeed in undermining the will of the peoples fighting for freedom.

Suleiman praised the commitment of the peoples of the region to the thought and philosophy of leader Ocalan, and emphasized the continuation of the struggle until the leader’s health status was revealed.

The sit-in tent is supposed to continue until the 28th of this March.
