Lately claims were put into circulation by the Turkish State social  media outlets on the health conditions of Abdullah Ocalan in the Imrali Island Prison.

On march 16th, lawyers of leader Ocalan again paid a visit to the Turkish Public Prosecution in the city of Bursa to get access to their client but that has been ignored up to date.

In this context, Dona Jaalouk, Lebanese lawyer said to ANHA '' in my opinion, the repressive authorities recourse to the political detention against the leading and striving figures and aim to subjugate people to deter them from fighting''.

Dona stressed that dimension applies to the Ocalan case, the influential and popular personage, and that he is not released because the authorities are obsessed with fears of his activities and role more actively amongst his supporters that increase day after another that gave rise to a more defiant resistance movement in his absence. By his imprisonment they believe that this would subjugate people that may fear their leader would be liquidated, that is a pressure card to subvert the will of people.

Unofficial claims were made by the Turkish authorities on the health of leader Abdullah Ocalan, as the means, to Dona Jaalouk, signifies horror and fear dissemination to his supporters and the leading figures on society to gain concessions and subjugation.

Since brought into captivity in February 15th, 1999, Ocalan was not dealt with according to the international standards, the last visit paid to him by both family and lawyers was on August 7th, 2019, as he is being forbidden medical care in dire contravention to the Article Five of the Universal Declaration of the Human Rights and Article Eight of the European Convention on Human Rights.

On the role played by the concerned human rights associations, Dona said '' I no longer trust so much to these associations as they have become confined to interests to go existing more than looking after human rights that have become to them as superficial just releasing statements time and again but in the case of leader Ocalan and other similar cases they leave no effect''.

''they should be more effective and politically motivated and aligned to the states and to be look after rights really, these associations show solidarity but with no action, unfortunately'', she said.

'' as all other power countries, democracy in Turkey is nominal and a slogan that never materialises on the ground, rather the opposite is observed, frankly, I have no clear answer to that, democracy is relative everywhere. This region is still undergoing many obstacles and difficulties and crisis that all emante from reactionary bases, history is replete with repression, killing and arrogance in the middle of which there has been no place for democracy'', that entails unremitting fight and raising awareness in society and renewal of all laws and putting them into action, then the international community and the human rights associations can play their supposed roles, but unfortunately all these were founded to serve the democracy of theirs. she concluded.
