The recent attacks resulted in the martyrdom of a child and wounding 4 other civilians, including a woman from the village of "Al-Hadriyat" of Ain Issa district, while the Syrian Democratic Forces responded to the attacks in which the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries used all weapons, including warplanes, and the mercenaries suffered heavy losses of life and equipment, within the framework of the legitimate defense right.

Regarding these recent attacks by the Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries on Ain Issa district, co-chair of Girê Spî Council, Leyla Misho, told ANHA: "The Russian state, since the conclusion of the Sochi Agreement on October 22, 2019, has not adhered to it. On the contrary, the attacks and aggression by the Turkish occupier and its mercenaries on the district and its countryside have increased since that time, leaving victims between martyrs and the wounded, most of them children, in front of the Russian forces, which entered as a guarantor of the ceasefire.

She added: "Russia used this time the people and put their lives at risk, after an agreement was made on the return of Saida and al-Muallaq people to their villages with a guarantee, and what happened was that the people of the two villages were directly targeted by the occupation and its mercenaries to start another aggression against Ain Issa after that without a move from the Russian guarantor to pass its interests with the Turkish state."

SDF are defending the Syrian lands against the occupation

Leyla denounced the silence of the Damascus government forces about the attacks launched by the Turkish state and its mercenaries on Ain Issa and its countryside for days, and said: "The presence of the Syrian government forces did not make a difference towards defending the Syrian lands in Ain Issa, and they are constitutionally obligated to defend it," indicating that the Syrian Democratic Forces are defending the Syrian lands and the people of the region, preventing the Turkish occupier from fulfilling its plans to occupy more Syrian lands.

Leyla MIsho called on the international community to take action to stop the aggression of the occupying Turkish state on Syrian lands, and the Russian state to abide by its pledges and ensure the implementation of the ceasefire, in accordance with its previous pledges.
