Amid the continuing almost daily attacks of the Turkish occupation state on the northern and eastern areas of Syria, the Russian state, which guarantees the ceasefire in the region, remains silent about these attacks.

According to political observers, Turkey, after its occupation of many Syrian regions, after obtaining the green light through Russian and international silence, is seeking to occupy more Syrian lands.

Concerning confidence in foreign powers interfering in the Syrian crisis, Sarah Khalil said: "After the withdrawal of the Russian forces from Afrin, they allowed the Turkish army to occupy it, as well as Girê Spî and Serêkaniyê areas, which were occupied after the withdrawal of American forces from them."

She added, "The presence of the Russian forces as a guarantor force in the region has not made any change. The Turkish state and its mercenaries are still attacking the areas of north-east Syria and committing massacres against civilians. Our people in north-east Syria have lost confidence in the foreign forces that play the guarantor role in the region, and now they know that their presence does not guarantee anything but their interests."

Sara Khalil criticized the silence of the Russian forces towards the repeated Turkish occupation attacks on the region, and said: "Our people in the region have expressed their stance towards the presence of the Russians, intercepted the Russian and Turkish patrols and attacked them with stones to express their rejection of the presence of these forces that only bring them war, death and destruction."

The Turkish occupation state continues to launch attacks and massacres against civilians in north-east Syria, in conjunction with the struggle of the people in the region.

'Russia must abide by its obligations'

The Administrator of the Women's Council of the Democratic Union Party in the Euphrates region, Sarah Khalil, called on Russia to adhere to its duties towards the people.

She concluded her speech by saying, "At this time, it must act according to what is required of it, as it is a guarantor state in the region for a ceasefire, and not to allow massacres to be committed against civilians and the occupation of their areas."
