Gire Spî, Serêkaniyê IDPs celebrate Newroz at camp in Dêrik

Members of the Kongra Star in Dirk, the Democratic Union Party (PYD), civil society organizations Gire Spî and Serêkaniyê IDPs participated in the celebration.

The place was decorated with pictures of the leader Abdullah Ocalan, the flags of the People's Protection Units and Women (YPG,YPJ) and the Democratic Union Party, the revolutionary youth, and martyrs.

After a minute of silence, a member of the PYD, Hussein Ramadan, congratulated the participants on the arrival of the Newroz, which carries the meanings of love and peace for the peoples of the region.

Ramadan added, " the occupied areas by Turkey and its Tied mercenaries, will be recontroled sooner or later to the NE Syria and its residents will return to their areas. We won't abandon our lands to the occupiers, whatever its costs."

In turn, the administrator spoke at the Kongra Star, Shadia Al-Youssef and blessed the arrival of Newroz on all the people who yearn for freedom, Girê Spî, Serêkaniyê and Afrin in particular, hoping that the next Newroz will be the year of victories.

After the words, the Judy band presented a number of revolutionary songs, followed by performances by the folk bands, and then the Camp Youth Band presented a number of folk dances.

At the end, the people lit the Newroz bonfire flame, while chanting slogans saluting the resistance of the People's Protection Units, Women and the Syrian Democratic Forces.
