The reactions condemning the international conspiracy that targeted the leader Abdullah Ocalan on February 15, 1999, in this context, fighters in the ranks of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) indicate that this plot did not distance the leader from the people, and that the people adopt the leader's approach and philosophy as a basis in their struggle for freedom.

‘Illegal treatment’

The fighter Bozan Ain Issa, from the Arab component, said in this context, "It has been 22 years since the leader Ocalan is imprisoned. International forces talk about human rights, but they violate the rights of the leader Ocalan and do not deal with him according to rights and laws. The detainees in prisons have the right to meet with others, but they do not allow the detainees in prisons to meet with their families, why is leader Ocalan denied this right? That is why the international forces and the Turkish state know well that we, as the Syrian Democratic Forces, will resist until the end according to the ideology of the leader Ocalan and defend ourselves.

As for the Kurdish fighter, Warshin Afrin, she said: “All the world and international forces of Turkey united and carried out the February 15 plot. In turn, Turkmen fighter Aboud Al-Shibli said: “We are entering a new year of international conspiracy that led to the arrest of leader Ocalan and his surrender to the Turkish state. We, as fighters from the Turkmen component, derive our thinking from the thought and philosophy of the leader Ocalan. We are linked to this thought and will always follow it. We are stationed on Ain Issa fronts and we will defend this region.

The Arab fighter, Kinan Ain Issa, said: "This day is a black day for us and for all oppressed peoples. We, as the Syrian Democratic Forces, will always resist according to the ideology and philosophy of the leader Ocalan. If the leader is arrested with his body, they will never be able to imprison his thought because his thought lives in our hearts."
