Kurdish community demands freedom in UNHCR for Ocalan

Today, the Kurdish community in Lebanon organized a sit-in in front of the UNHCR, during which it condemned the international plot against the leader Abdullah Ocalan, calling on the international community to take action soon to free the leader.

Today, hundreds of the Kurdish community in Lebanon gathered in a sit-in in front of the UNCHR, in which the Democratic Union Party, (PYD) the Kongra Star and the Newroz Cultural and Social League participated, to denounce the international plot against the leader Abdullah Ocalan.

The participants raised pictures of the leader Ocalan, and banners that read: "No to the international plot that targeted the will of our people represented by Ocalan."

The sit-in began with a minute of silence, then the representative of the Autonomous Administration in Lebanon, Abdel Salam Ahmed, delivered a speech in which he said: "Today is a black day for the oppressed peoples. On this day, leader Ocalan was arrested in an international plot."

Then the representative of the Armenian world in Lebanon, Hamo Moskvian, spoke, and said: “Our people in Armenia have organized many sit-ins in front of the embassy of the involved countries in the international conspiracy against Ocalan because we are in the same struggle against the brutal state. "

Then the head of the Newro Cultural and Social Association in Lebanon, Hanan Othman, delivered a speech in which she said: "Today we stand before the United Nations High Commissioner in Lebanon to raise our voices once again against the international conspiracy against the international leader Abdullah Ocalan."

Bushra Ali, President of the Jin Women's League, said: “On February 10, the Turkish occupation army’s attacks on Gare began, and this attack is a continuation of the international conspiracy against the leader, but the Karela forces in Kari responded to those attacks with courage and failed them.”

In turn, a member of the Kongra Star, Samira Bakr, denounced the arrest of the leader Ocalan, and appealed to the international community to take immediate action to liberate him.

Then the sit-in ended with chanting slogans demanding the freedom of Ocalan.
