SOHR: 6 people killed during Israeli bombing of Damascus

The Syrian Observatory said that the Israeli bombing of the vicinity of Damascus resulted in the killing of six non-Syrian fighters.

The Syrian Observatory reported that, after Sunday midnight, Israeli missiles targeted the headquarters of the Fourth Division in the mountains surrounding the Damascus-Beirut road, known as the (Old Beirut Road), where there are warehouses of weapons and missiles belonging to the Iranians.

The First Division of the Damascus government forces was also targeted in al-Kiswah area, in addition to targeting other locations west and southwest of the capital Damascus.

The Israeli bombardment lasted for about half an hour, starting at around 1:15 pm Damascus local time, and the defense forces of the Damascus Air Force responded to a fair number of missiles, but some of them reached their targets, and resulted in material losses in terms of destroying missile and weapons depots in the aforementioned areas.

The bombing caused casualties, as the observatory confirmed the killing of six people so far of non-Syrian nationalities, four of them were killed in the bombing of warehouses on the old Beirut road, and two were killed by the bombing of the first division and its surroundings.

This attack is the second of its kind on the southern countryside of Damascus this month.
