On the 22nd anniversary of the international plot against leader Abdullah Ocalan on Feb 15, 1999 a statement was released by the War Wounded Federation of North East Syria that reads as follows:

''both the plot and the isolation fell to the ground by the will of our leader, at a time when authoritarian powers try to create a Kurdish figure as a protégé, the leader worked out to build a free Kurdish personality, it is true the plot was not an absolute failure but it's basic aims fell to the ground and received painful blows''.

The statement confirmed that fighting would go on until freedom of  leader Abdullah Ocalan is met, for that echoes the end of the plot.

At the end, the statement paid tribute to all hunger strikers in the Turkish jails, as confirming that they will participate firmly in the ''It's Time For Freedom'' campaign, launched by the Kurdistan Communities Union as well as giving pledges to sacrifice dearly for the sake of the freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan.
