Izidkhani: Turkey leads new genocide against Yazidis

A Yazidi politician said that Turkey tries to export its economic crisis and internal problems, through a military operation on Şengal, stressing that it “seeks to lead a new genocidal against the Yazidis,” he warned of “a humanitarian catastrophe and a new genocide against the Yazidis, if Turkey goes in Şengal.”

Member of the Political Bureau of the Yazidi Freedom and Democracy Party, Haidar Izidkhani, told ANHA agency, "Turkey is going through an economic crisis and internal problems and tries to export outside its borders, by carrying out a military operation in Şengal under the pretext of fighting the PKK."

He pointed out that "Turkey believes that the Bagdad and the Kurdistan Regional Government have failed to implement the Şengal Agreement, and the ground is ready for cross-border incursion in Iraq, expand its alleged empire in similar way to NE Syria."

And he added, "Erdogan seeks to open a new page of his barbarism to deploy terrorism and his mercenaries in Iraq."

Turkey eyes Mosul ′

The Yazidi politician added, "In fact, Turkey's intentions eyes are on the Mosul for its strategic location coinciding with the end of the second Treaty of Lausanne in preparation for annexing it."

He pointed to the security prevailing in Şengal, since its liberation from ISIS mercenaries, and the displaced return to it.

′ Turkey seeks to commit a new genocide'

He continued, "While we are waiting for the international community and the United Nations to recognize the Yazidis genocide, take care of them, rebuild their areas and facilitate their return, and Turkey is seeking to lead a new genocidal campaign against the Yazidis."

Izidkhani appealed to the international community and the European Union to immediately intervene to prevent any Turkish military operation in Şengal, warning of "a humanitarian catastrophe and a new genocide against the Yazidis, in the event Turkey entered Şengal."

Izidkhani held the Iraqi government and the international community responsible for any Turkish intervention in Şengal.

Member of the Yazidi Freedom and Democracy Party - Haidar Izidkhani - concluded his speech, stressing that "the Yazidi people will defend their land and existence against any possible attack by Turkey on Şengal."
