Within the activities condemning the Turkish attacks on the mountains of Kurdistan, especially Garê Mount, and the silence of the Kurdistan Regional Government about these attacks, several activities were organized in al-Hasakah canton.

AL-HASAKAH

In al-Hasaka city, the people of the city issued a statement to the public opinion, denouncing the Turkish occupation’s attacks on Garê, as the occupation army began a massive offensive on February 10th, while the People’s Defense Forces responded to the attacks and the Turkish occupation suffered great losses.

The statement was read at the Leader Abdullah Ocalan Park in al-Nasira neighborhood, in the presence of hundreds of city residents and members of civil and military institutions, in addition to members of the Culture and Teachers Committee, by the citizen Mostafa Ahmed.

Mostafa Ahmed said during his reading of the statement, "After defeating ISIS militarily by the Syrian Democratic Forces, and with the active participation of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK), the Turkish state's attacks on the Autonomous Administration areas and the mountains of Kurdistan increased in revenge for its mercenaries, ISIS.”

Mostafa Ahmed explained that the mentality of ISIS mercenaries represents the mentality of the Justice and Development Party and the Nationalist Movement Party which seek the neo-Ottomanism within the framework of adopting extremist movements.”

Ahmed added, “The Turkish state worked to open the way for ISIS to commit massacres in Şengal after the KDP Peshmerga fled, in which thousands of civilians, families and thousands of Yazidi women were left victims."

Ahmed noted that the attacks on Garê Mounts of Southern Kurdistan indicate a tripartite cooperation between the Iraqi government, the Regional government and the Turkish state, as the attacks started from Southern Kurdistan, not from Northern Kurdistan, as the Turkish state does every time on its side.

Ahmed called on all democratic international powers, organizations and the Human Rights Protection to break their "shameful" silence regarding the brutal attacks on civilians and the region that paid the best of its people to eliminate terrorism, and was the reason for protecting the whole world from the abomination of terror represented by ISIS mercenaries.

Ahmed called on the Kurdistan Democratic Party to express its position on these attacks "because the people and history will not have mercy on those who whose hands have been stained with the blood of the peoples of the region, especially the Kurdish people.”

The statement ended by chanting slogans that saluted the Guerrilla resistance in the mountains of Kurdistan.
