Intense shelling on Jabal al-Zawiye

A violent and intense shelling was carried out by the Syrian Government Forces on areas held by mercenary groups affiliated to the Turkish Occupation Forces in the Jabal al-Zawiye, for at least 65 missiles and rockets were rained on the area, amid hovering over the area by Russian UAVs.

The ground shelling on the De-escalation Zone, especially on Jabal al-Zawiye and more specifically on the town of Fatira, for today, 65 rockets were fired by the Syrian Government Forces within minutes, as information on human losses were unavailable.

To that, Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the SOHR, stated that areas in Anghawi and Qlidine in the al-Ghab Plain in north western Hama, Fatira, Sfuhen, Gidora, Magdaliya, Flefil and Binin in southern Idlib were all shelled by the Syrian Government Forces, as Russian UAVs were hovering over the area.

Yesterday, it was reported by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the SOHR, that Russian fighter jets carried out raids on outskirts of Armanaz in western rural Idlib, with no further information.

This the first time since early December 2020, that Russian warplanes carry out shelling on Idlib.
