The "Times of Israel" website reported that Netanyahu might spend a day in the UAE capital Abu Dhabi, another in Dubai, and a third day in Bahrain, noting, "The visit of the Israeli prime minister comes late."

"The purpose of the visit is to celebrate the normalization of Israeli-Gulf relations, and to consolidate Netanyahu's diplomatic gains before the next elections in March, in addition to pushing Arab leaders to distance Washington from returning to the nuclear deal with Iran," the site stated.

Netanyahu decided to visit the two countries last November, but the new Corona virus pandemic and internal political crises prompted him to postpone several times, according to the website.

Earlier last week, the Chargé d'Affairs of the Israeli ambassador to the UAE, Eitan Naih, arrived in the capital, Abu Dhabi, where he underwent quarantine measures, in accordance with the emirate's rules regarding the emerging corona virus.

In August, Israel announced that peace agreements had been reached with the UAE and Bahrain, under the auspices of the United States of America, while Sudan and the Maghreb followed them later.
