Second annual meeting of Executive Council kicks off

The second annual meeting of the Executive Council of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria is being held today to evaluate works and achievements made in 2020 and to put plans and projects for 2021.

Present at the meeting that is taking place in the Meetings Hall of the Autonomous Administration of Raqqa, the Presidential Body of North and East Syria, co-chairmanships of the seven autonomous and civil administrations of North and East Syria, in addition to co-chairs of the bodies and offices of the Autonomous Administration, commanders of Syrian Democratic Forces, and head of the Executive Body of Syria's Democratic Council Ilham Ahmed.    

The meeting started with  a minute of silence, followed by a welcoming speech delivered by co-chair of the Executive Council of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, Abid Hamed al-Mihbash, in which he welcome all participants.  

Al-Mihbash said that ''  2020 was eventful, Turkey invaded Afrin on such days, the wound  that still bleeds, as the same case of our  people in Sere Kaniye/ Ras al-Ain and Gire Spi/Tal Abyad, that were displaced, in addition to the COVID-19 Pandemic that ravaged the area but it has been controlled, despair was turned into success on a;; arenas''.

Al-Mihbash concluded that ''by virtue of management and determination of all of us we reached this, but the weay is still very long, that need work to meet success''.

It is scheduled for the meeting to discuss latest political developments in the region, as well as achievements made in 2020 in addition to the hardships encounter the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, making proposals and evaluating works and proposing the 2021 plan.
