The villages of Umm Adassa, al-Dandaniya, Jabal al-Sayada, and al-Jamousiah in the northwestern countryside of the city of Manbij were bombed with 35 mortar and artillery shells, from the Turkish base in al-Yashili two days ago.

Turkish occupation has been separately breaching the agreement between US and Russia since October 2019.

The residents are living in difficult conditions with the fall of Turkish shells on them while they are in their homes and on their land, which they refuse to give up to the Turkish occupation.

Wahidah Othman, from the village of Jabal al-Sayada (24 km northwest of Manbij), says that "the Turkish shelling is targeting us and our children day and night from the bases stationed on the other side of the front line."

Wahidah, a mother of 4 children, added, "We live in very difficult conditions with shells falling over our heads, but we will hold out in our homes and we will not leave our land until the occupier is gone and all the areas occupied by Turkey are liberated."

For his part, the fighter in the ranks of the Manbij Military Council (MMC), Ahmed al-Hussein, affirms that they protect civilians and the city from any attack targeting the area.

Ahmed al-Hussein, who is stationed on the northwestern front lines of Manbij, said that the Turkish shelling was targeting villages inhabited by safe residents in their homes.

Photos and videos taken by Hawar news agency ANHA reporter show the destruction caused by the Turkish shelling on civilian homes in the villages that were targeted by Turkish shells.
