Qaani’s comments came during the first anniversary ceremony for the killing of Qassem Soleimani, which was held Friday morning at the University of Tehran, according to the Iranian "Fars" news agency.

Qaani stressed that the path of his forces and the resistance will not be changed by "evil American actions," addressing the Americans: "Perhaps individuals will emerge who respond to your crime from inside your homes."

On January 3, 2020, US President Donald Trump authorized a drone attack to assassinate the prominent Iranian general, Qassem Soleimani, while he was in Baghdad, and as a result there was fear of escalation at the time, but this did not happen, but tension is escalating with the approaching first anniversary of the operation.
