Assyrians perceive Turkish attacks as a plot by powers in Syria

Prominent figures from the Assyrian component have made clear latest attacks by the Turkish Occupation Forces on the region serve just as a new plot against the people in the region by the guarantor states.

Since a month ago, attacks by the Turkish Occupation Forces and the affiliated mercenary groups on the Ain Issa District have intensified, in line with movements by the mercenary groups on the two fronts of Tal Tamr and Zarghan, in the Hasaka Canton, as silence being preserved by the Russian Forces as representing guarantor state, and inattention by the Syrian Government Forces.

The Assyrian people in the Tal Tamr District fear that the 2015 events scenario be re-enacted, again.

Elias Enter, head of the Assyrian People House in the Hasaka Canton, has indicated that '' for the Assyrian people, the Turkish Aggression is not something new, as all the Assyrian people still remember well the massacres perpetrated by the Ottomans in 2015''.

Elias made clear that they are concerned with latest attacks by the Turkish state on the region, that takes presence by the Syrian Democratic Forces in the area as a pretext, as all the concluded agreements last year strip Turkey of such pretext''.

Elias stressed that people in the region support and back the Syrian Democratic Forces, as they are a moral support for the military forces, calling on the Syrian people '' to put aside all differences and taking into account defending Syrian lands''. .

Commander in the Assyrian Khabur Guards, Nebil Werde, indicated that massive mobilization of forces by the Turkish Occupation Forces in the region as serious one '' since the Turkish escalation on Ain Issa and recent attacks, mercenary groups intensified their movements in line with building up forces on the two fronts of Zarghan and Tal Tamr''.

Werde indicated that movements by the mercenary groups endanger security and stability in the region, in spite of international agreements stipulating ceasefire, saying:'' we, as the Assyrian Khabur Guards, are ready to repel any Turkish aggression on the region and to protect our people against that''.

Nebil Werde went on to say:'' the international community ought to put an end to the Turkish crimes as well as those perpetrated by the affiliated mercenary groups against people in North Eastern Syria, as the Turkish attacks lead to mass displacement from the region''.

At the end of his speech Werde said that silence observed in line with the Turkish attacks substantiates that there has been a new plot hatched by all powers present in Syria to deport of the region and to strike at their gains.
