Under the title "The Hard Corner," the Palestinian factions in Gaza announced their intention to carry out a military maneuver in Gaza, to "raise the level of coordination and readiness."

This maneuver, dubbed "the Hard Corner" by the joint room of the factions, is the first of its kind in Gaza and in the history of the Palestinian factions.

The maneuver coincides with Palestinian analyzes, according to which Israel is preparing a military operation against Gaza, to strike the military capabilities of the factions, before the end of US President Donald Trump's term.

Palestinian observers believe that the main message of the maneuver is "to export a message of deterrence to Israel, and to announce the readiness of the factions to confront any Israeli operation."

The Israeli media focused on this maneuver, as it is the first of its kind, which shows a high level of coordination between the Palestinian factions, and that it is a demonstration of "the extent of the military development that the factions have reached."

'A mobilization for fear of an Israeli operation'

Sources in the Palestinian factions revealed to ANHA agency that "the factions, specifically, the military arms of Hamas and Islamic Jihad, have declared a mobilization, fearing that Israel will be targeted during the maneuver, especially since the factions are monitoring reports indicating that Israel is preparing for a move, before the end of the term of US President Donald Trump."

The sources said that "among the messages of the maneuver is to show the extent of the development the resistance has reached, which makes the occupation think carefully before launching any operation against Gaza."

'Israeli interest'

The Israeli press is following up on the circumstances of the maneuver, as a sophisticated event in Gaza. Aleor Levy, correspondent for military affairs at the Israeli newspaper "Yediot Aharonot" believes that "the aim of these exercises is to create a field of deterrence before the Israeli army," adding: "The exercises that will take place Tuesday in the Gaza Strip It comes after several weeks of massive Staff exercises conducted by the Israeli army. "

Levy pointed to the participation of all military branches of all factions in the Gaza Strip in these exercises, led by the military branches of Hamas and Islamic Jihad, considering that the importance of this maneuver "is that it will be collective, with the participation of all military branches of the factions in the Gaza Strip."

Levy added, "Hamas will lead this maneuver, in the name of the joint room," adding that it will include rockets fired towards the sea, interspersed with land and sea exercises, and media coverage, noting that the exercises in Gaza were previously conducted in secret without media coverage, and this maneuver will be subject to media coverage.

'A message of deterrence to Israel'

As the Palestinian writer and political analyst Hassan Abdo believes, "The maneuver reflects the level of development the resistance has reached, and it gives real deterrent messages to Israel."

He added, "The maneuver is defensive par excellence, and aims to examine readiness to confront Israeli incursion operations, as well as to address sea and air landing operations, and various military tactics during the confrontation."
