Kurdish politician: Kurdish street, parties must move now!

Member of the Central Committee in the Syrian Kurdish Democratic Party Gilo Issa said that Kurdish political parties have not undertaken their role as expected, adding that the Kurdish street must move now to face Turkish attacks.

Decrying reactions to Turkish attacks on northeastern Syrian cities continue amid utter world silence towards continuous shelling on safe cities and villages, particularly that the Russian side exists there as a guarantor to the cease-fire; however, Russian forces still watch from a distance the Turkish attacks and shelling.

Turkish attacks have escalated on northeastern Syrian areas recently, despite non-stop attacks since they reached a cease-fire in these areas last year, particularly in Ain Issa district where intense intermittent shelling and clashes take place.

In this context, member of the Central Committee in the Syrian Kurdish Democratic Party Gilo Issa said, “ The Russian guarantor has become a partner in these attacks as it sticks to silence.”

Issa noted, the Russian role is contributing to worsening the crisis in Syria instead of seeking political solution, but we only see that Russia waves with military escalation.”

Russian policies were met with popular rejection through protests in northeastern Syrian cities, and the statements of many politicians who perceived the Russian silence as a green light to Turkish occupation and committing massacres against the area population.”

Gilo Issa appealed to Kurdish political parties to move and escalate struggle against these Russian policies describing it as “dirty policies.”

Gilo described the Syrian government as “helping its enemy occupy its land”, he said, “the Syrian Democratic Forces approved the regime enters these areas to preserve the Syrian territorial unity, but the Syrian government does not act this way, it is following Russian and Turkish games, thus helping Turkish occupation in occupying Syrian territories.”

Issa concluded his speech with calling on people to escalate protests and take to streets to condemn these immoral policies.
