JKŞ: Guven's imprisonment not out of the system

A written statement by the Revolutionary and Communist Women, the JKŞ, was released in condemnation of 22 year sentencing verdict of the Parliamentarian Laila Guven.

The statement reads as follows:

''the will of women is again being attacked by the fascist and patriarchal Turkish State, women that have been fighting years ago, and call for equal gender and human rights, women were always against patriarchy, the Turkish state wants to put an end to this struggle via arrest, detention, harassment and aggression, as these means are being promoted by the Turkish State on daily bases, and being put into practice by all means especially against women in Kurdistan.     

Leaders of the women liberating movement are being abducted by the Turkish State by sentencing politician Laila Guven to repress the will of women, that has been fighting for the liberty of women since decades as she being abducted by a politically motivated decision. This decision merely gives credence to fears of the fascist and patriarchal state, of course the decision to arrest Laila Guven was never out of the system.  

Laila Guven has become a symbol for resistance against fascism of the Development and Justice Party and the Nationalist Movement Party via the relentless fighting of hunger strike for the sake to put an end to the isolation imposed leader Abdullah Ocaln. 

We, as revolutionary and communist women, define the Turkish State as attacks on Sere Kaniye and Gire Spi go on, abduction, torture and rape, define them as supporting ISIS, women in Rojava are still defending their revolution against the concept of patriarchy, women of Northern Kurdistan and Turkey would break this concept, and commence revolution, as the Turkish State is afraid of all this.  

This is the tome for the support of women, we condemn decision taken by the Turkish State policy, women would never waive their rights, for this we call for more support, as all women all over thwe world ought to satnd up to this decision and request Laila Guven be released from prison''.
