On the 18th of this December, the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries launched an attack on the villages of Jahbel and Musharafa in the countryside of Ain Issa in the Euphrates region.

The attack coincided with violent shelling by the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries on the international road and around the center of Ain Issa district, and the Syrian Democratic Forces responded to the attack, preventing the occupation and its mercenaries from advancing in the area, and the attack resulted in the killing 12 mercenary elements in addition to destroying a military vehicle of mercenaries.

Regarding this attack, ANHA agency conducted a meeting with SDF commander, Ziyad Halab.

Ziyad, at the beginning of his speech, touched upon the attack launched on the area, and said in this context, "Around 5:30 pm, the Turkish occupation and the mercenaries began the attacks on the villages of Jahbel and Musharafa, and our forces confronted them."

What is promoted by occupation media is untrue?

Regarding the allegations reported by the Turkish occupation media that they occupied the two villages, Ziyad Halab said: “What they are circulating on their media outlets and social media sites is untrue, the two villages are still under our control, and clashes erupt from time to time between our fighters and the occupation army and its mercenaries.”

Regarding the losses suffered by the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries during the Syrian Democratic Forces' response to the attack, Ziuad Halab said, "The clashes that continued within two days, according to what we saw with our own eyes, resulted in the killing of 12 mercenary elements, in addition to the destruction of their vehicles."
