Since December 12, the Kurdistan Democratic Party has worked to mobilize its military forces, accompanied by heavy weapons, on the artificial borders with Rojava, in addition to establishing military points to reach 40 military points and 3 main centers, fortifying and camouflaging their sites.

On the 13th of this month, the Kurdistan Democratic Party forces launched an attack on the People’s Defense Forces, which resulted in serious wounds to 3 Guerrilla fighters, near the village of Sikirki, which is affiliated with the Amadiya sub-district in Dohuk governorate in Başûr Kurdistan.

The administrative member of the Executive Board of the Kurdistan National Congress - Rojava, Abeer Hesaf, commented on this, saying: “What happened in Başûr Kurdistan is a source of discontent, and serves only the interests of the enemies of the Kurdish cause and Kurdistan, such as the international and regional powers, which seek with all their strength to exterminate the Kurds, plot conspiracies against the Kurds, and bury the Kurdish house, as well as creating chaos and destruction in the hands of the Kurds, while  the Kurds have many opportunities to build a base for them.

In an interview with Hawar News Agency, Abeer Hassaf indicated that any Kurdish fighting in Başûr Kurdistan will mend the crisis and chaos that the people of Başûr lived for a long time, when fighting took place between the two Kurdish parties.

"Kurdish bloodshed will impede efforts of national unity"

Abeer Hassaf noted that what happened in Başûr Kurdistan will cast a negative shadow over the achievement of Kurdish unity, so political parties must seek to solve the outstanding problems between the Kurdish parties, through dialogue, to protect the Kurdish gains throughout Kurdistan, and she said: “The Kurdish bloodshed will bring about a lot of obstacles."

Abeer Hassaf explained that the reason for the attack on the People’s Defense Forces’ sites is due to the pursuit of narrow partisan interests, noting that "it came when the Kurdish parties are supposed to seek to solve the outstanding problems, and accept and respect the views of the other side without prejudice, to build a common base, and a unified Kurdish political map."

Abeer Hassaf called on the Kurdistan Democratic Party to sit at the dialogue table, and to favor the Kurdish interest over the partisan interest, and said: “Any Kurdish fighting will pave the way for the enemy to commit more genocides against the Kurds.”

Abeer Hassaf called on the Kurdish forces and politicians throughout Kurdistan to move away from narrow partisan interests, and to seek to build a united Kurdistan.
