AANES's officials meets Austrian government delegation

Meanwhile, a delegation from the Austrian government is holding meeting with officials of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, (AANES) in Qamishlo, as part of their ongoing visit to the northeast Syria (NES).

A short while ago, the Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs delegate arrived at the AANES's External Relations Department in the city of Qamishlo, hours of the delegate's arrival through the Semalka border crossing,.

The visiting delegation includes Eva Jagkovic, an Austrian parliamentarian from the Green Party, Reinhold Lopatka, the conservative Christian People's Party parliamentarian, and Thomas Schmidinger, a professor of political science at the University of Vienna.

The visiting delegation was received at the External Relations Department of the Autonomous Administration, by the co-chair of the Department, Abdel Karim Omar and Dania Ramadan, and the representative of the administration in Europe, Mizgin Ahmed.

Meanwhile, the two sides are holding a closed meeting to the media

This is the second visit by representatives of the Austrian government, but it is the first to Qamishlo, after the first visit that took place at the Semalka border crossing on October 1 of last year.
