On the occasion of the Êzi Eid of the Yazidi community, the Democratic Society Movement in Kobane organized an event at the martyrs' shrine, in which dozens of members of the Movement participated, and it began with a minute of silence in tribute for the souls of the martyrs, then lit candles on the martyrs' tombs in the Martyr Dijlah Cemetery.

This was followed by a speech by the Co-chair of the Democratic Society Movement, Gharib Hasso, in which he said: "This day is a great day that must be celebrated. That is why we celebrate it first with the martyrs who sacrificed the most precious for the sake of the freedom of the Kurdish people and all the peoples of the region."

Hesso said in his speech: "The Yazidi people have suffered atrocities at the hands of ISIS mercenaries, and it is time to run themselves and live under the Autonomous Administration established by their people. The Kurdish people must stand with the Yazidi people in this period in which conspiracies and agreements are being held against Şengal Administration."

Hesso also offered condolences on the death of "Mam Bashir," who died on the 14th of this month, saying: "He struggled and worked for the Yazidi people until his martyrdom."
