The Yazidis in Tirbe Spiye district, after fasting 3 days “Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday,” in the first week of the month of December, according to the eastern calendar, “Kurmanji”, began to receive the Êzi holiday, meaning the Creator's Day or what is known as the Great Fasting Day, visiting Diyari Feleki shrine the night before the holiday.

Visiting the shrine in the village of Otlja in Tirbe Spiye is one of the rituals that precede the Êzi holiday, as Yazidis from all villages and cities gather in the shrine and exchange congratulations on the occasion of the coming of Êzi holiday.

According to the rituals of the holiday, the Yazidis collect sweets and fruits, mix them together, and distribute them in memory of their dead, so that the morning of the holiday begins with the Yazidis visiting each other's homes, and offering congratulations on the holiday.
