In one voice, people of Amuda call for Kurdish unity

In support of the Kurdish unity and the support of the Yazidi people in Şengal, dozens of people from Amuda district participated with members of the civil institutions of the Autonomous Administration and political parties, in a demonstration organized by the Democratic Union Party and Kongra Star in Amuda district in Qamishlo district.

The demonstration began in front of the Martyr Jihad Square towards Şengal Square in the middle of the district, amid chanting the slogans "Yes to Kurdish unity", "No to brotherhood war", "With the unity of the Kurds we expel the occupation", "The unity of the Kurdish parties is the freedom of the Kurds", marchers held banners that read "No for siblings fighting... it is time for national unity, "in addition to raising the flags of the Democratic Union Party, the Women’s Protection Units, Kongra Star, and the Syrian Democratic Forces.

Upon the arrival of the demonstrators to Şengal Square, they stood for a minute of silence, followed by the statement of the political parties for the Democratic Autonomous Administration, which was read by Abd al-Salam Qafur.

"The Turkish state is trying by various means to thwart some of the agreements that were concluded between the Kurdish National Council and the Autonomous Administration, because it sees in the Union of all Kurds the end of the ambitions of the Turkish state in Syria," Qafur said in the statement.

Qafur stressed the need to support the Kurdish-Kurdish dialogue and said: “In this sensitive stage at the first dialogue between the Kurdish parties, Turkey tried to thwart any Kurdish-Kurdish rapprochement that every Kurds in all of Kurdistan awaits. Therefore, we, the parties of the Democratic Autonomous Administration, must stand together till thwarting all Turkish policies in the region, and we all see that our salvation is linked to the unity of the Kurdish ranks. "
