On December 13th, 2020, forces of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, the PDK, launched an attack on the Peoples' Defence Forces, the HPG, in the village of Sêgirê of the Amediye region in Southern Kurdistan, that led to the injury of three fighters of the Peoples' Defence Forces.

Today morning, mothers of Guerrilla fighters and people of the Derik district gathered at the entrance of the Derik District of the Qamishlo Canton to head to the Semalka crossing point to denounce practices of the Kurdistan Democratic Party and mobilization by the party of forces close to the legitimate defence areas.

Photos of martyrs, logos and Kurdish flags were raised by the Guerrilla mothers chanting '' no to attacks on the Guerrilla Forces, yea to the National Unity''.

It is scheduled that a protest would be held by people at the Semalka crossing point and deliver a statement.
