Delegation from Tajikistan visits NE Syria

Today, a delegation from the Republic of Tajikistan, headed by Dr. Zabidullah Zabidov, Ambassador of the State of Tajikistan in Kuwait, arrived in north and east Syria, and the delegation also included Mr. Sabah al-Din, the Consul of Tajikistan in Kuwait, and Mr. Ruslan Jarif, Third Secretary of the Tajik Embassy in Kuwait.

The delegation which visited the Foreign Relations Department in North and East Syria was received by the Co-chair of the Foreign Relations Department Abdel Karim Omar, his Deputy Mr. Fener Kaait , the Department's Official Spokesman Mr. Kamal Akef, , and Members of the Administrative Board Sana Adham and Henar Bijou.

During the meeting, the two parties discussed the general situation in Syria, the situation in the Autonomous Administration regions, in addition to the political process, and the need to resolve the Syrian crisis in accordance with international decisions.

Officials in the Autonomous Administration made clear the crimes committed by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries in the region, their constant bombardment, and the impact of these violations in the region.

The press situation in the region was also discussed, in light of the spread of the Corona virus, and the emphasis on the need to open Tel Koçer border crossing to deliver aid to the people of north and east Syria, and the need for the international community to assume its responsibilities regarding this issue.
